FAQs

  • You’re in good company! Most of the adults who dance with us are beginners or took a very long time off between dancing in their youth and returning to it as adults. We offer classes at every level from Total Beginner to Int/Advanced. We recommend starting at a level that feels comfortable and progressing from there. We always strive to offer a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for dancers of all ages, abilities, and levels!

  • There is no required uniform for any of our classes. Many adults choose to wear sweatpants or leggings with a top that allows for movement. The best footwear will depend on class type, but socks or bare feet are always a safe bet if you don’t have specific dance footwear. Please note that our studio flooring can be damaged by anything sharp or gritty on the bottom of your shoes, so it’s very important that shoes be clean (indoor shoes only) and free of exposed nails or metal. If you need specific footwear, the Lines Store can get you fitted properly!

  • For most regular weekly drop-in classes, if you cancel your class reservation at least 12 hours before class starts, you’ll receive a credit for a future class. For special pop-up classes and Master Classes, you must cancel 24 hours in advance to receive a credit. Cancellations made outside of the windows specified above are considered “late cancellations” and are forfeited. Registering for a series is considered a commitment for the length of the series, but we can offer one make-up class per series. Please contact us about taking a make-up class in a future series. Unless we cancel a class, we’re not able to offer refunds for missed classes, whether you early cancel or late cancel.

  • We do not issue refunds, but are happy to exchange or provide store credit for any item that’s unworn and in its original packaging within 14 days of your purchase.

  • Absolutely not. We welcome dancers of all ages, abilities, and body types in our classes. You’ll find dancers in their 80s tapping up a storm or pirouetting across the floor, and a beautiful diversity of bodies spinning around poles or making graceful shapes in aerial silks. If you have a specific disability you need accommodation for, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us, and we will do our absolute best to make class accessible for you.
