Lauren Marino
Ballet
Lauren began dancing at a young age and trained pre-professionally with the Metropolitan Ballet Theater in Atlanta, Georgia, receiving summer training with Orlando Ballet School, Nashville Ballet School, the Rock School, and Gelsey Kirkland Academy. Upon graduation, they accepted a trainee position with the Orlando Ballet, and were later promoted to second company dancer, where they performed many corps de ballet roles with the main company, and soloist roles with the second company.
Sidelined by injury, Lauren stepped away from professional dance and completed their B.S. in Architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and their Masters in Urban Studies from Georgia State University, graduating both with highest honors. Woven throughout their time in higher education were pockets of freelance work as a dancer, ballet teacher, choreographer, model, and movement artist.
Lauren moved to Vermont in 2023 and works in nonprofit affordable housing development. They are excited to rekindle their journey in dance as part of the Lines team!
